These two shots mean a lot to me because they contain many old friends I no longer have (though I thankfully still have the vast majority of what's visible here), as they were donated to other homes, other kids, other people or places or purposes...but every time I had to give away a plushie, I felt a great sense of loss, because I truly believed (and still do believe) that they were real, possessed of an actual spirit and consciousness. These two photos help me remember each and every last one forever--the names, how and where I came to have them, etc. Those who are no longer with me live within the photographs, and thus are just as happy and comfortable as ever.
